Four miles south of Carlow and sixteen miles from Kilkenny, Ballinabranagh boasts and excellent local school, Church, GAA Club, and a village store. With easy access to a main routes, the planned N9 interchange on the main Dublin to Waterford road is less than two miles away.
Milford Park is based in Ballinabranagh, a beautiful rural settlement in County Carlow. Ballinabranagh began to develop as a village in the early 19 th century. A church and a national school were constructed side by side in the countryside at a crossroads to serve the surrounding parish. Over the years, the presence of these important facilities served the community and a small settlement has grown up around them.
In the mid 20th century a new, larger primary school was constructed to the north west of the crossroads and the old school was converted into a parish hall. Ribbon development of private housing, estate cottages and a small number of council houses has accumulated in the area. Nowadays along with the church and school, a GAA club provides much entertainment and the community hall caters for badminton and indoor soccer.
